5 Reasons to Go to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Next Year

Mommies, do your little ones keep asking you to go to see Mickey? Do you dread saying yes because you don’t want to deal with tons of people, lines, chaos, bad food, toddler meltdowns and just overall exhaustion? Well, my three year old son and I just went to Disney for a quick 2 day trip to go to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and it was the best time I have ever had at Disney World. Side note, I have been to Disney World over 18 times in the past 35 years. Here are my five top reasons why it’s a great time to go.
- Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a special event, so only a limited number of tickets are sold. If you have a ticket to the party, you can enter the Magic Kingdom at 4:00 pm on the day of the party, which starts at 7:00 pm. Cast members usher out all the guests who don’t have wristbands by 7:00 pm, so while there is a little overlap, it’s not too bad.
- If you want to ride on the rides, there are minimal waits! This is especially awesome if you have little ones who have a tough time waiting in line.
- There are fantastic character appearances. The lines are long to meet the special characters, but the sets and the characters are fantastic. We saw all Seven Dwarfs on set ready for photos and they looked adorable!
- You can trick or treat in the park. Yes, this IS as cool as it sounds!!! When you enter the park, cast members will give you a map and a candy bag. When the party starts, there are orange light up Mickey Mouse heads which guide the way to the treat trails. And yes, you get some really good candy.
- The shows and parades are fantastic and you can get a really good seat. You feel like a VIP because the party is limited admission, the crowds are civil and everyone gets a fantastic seat for the parade.
The party lasts until midnight, but my three year old was so exhausted after five hours that we went to bed. The best part was…he went right to bed because he was so tired.
