Hi Mommies,

I can’t believe it, but September 7th marks the four year anniversary of my first blog post. Looking back through my old posts, the theme remains constant, but the life experience gained over the last four years has been tremendous.

When I started posting, I was mom to two very young boys ages 3 and 1. Now they are 7 and 5 and I have an 18 month old daughter. Part of the fun of having 3 kids is that you learn more and more as each child develops and you learn many new ways to make things easier along the way. That’s why I love writing the blog. I want to help all different kinds of mommie’s and want to make their lives a little better, either with fashion help, well being or with hacks to help mommie’s get through the day.

I spell mommy’s as mommie’s because I wanted to be different and to let mommie’s know that they can be individuals as well. Unfortunately, I still see people struggle with mom shaming and mom judging. I decided to write the blog to bring all types of mommies together. I know that being a mommie is the one of most difficult and rewarding jobs and it is disheartening when moms judge or speak badly about other mothers. Mommie’s need to be supportive of each other, as ALL women do. I hope that my work can help working, stay at home, single moms, divorced moms, etc. all come together.

This past summer, our family relocated from Massachusetts to New Jersey, so stay tuned for moving tips and ways to help kids adjust to new places on the blog.

Throughout the journey, I have published a book about divorce for children (Family One Family Two www.mommiemix.com/books) and am currently working on a clothing line for boys!!!! Life keeps getting busier, but you already knew that!

Mommies, would love to hear about what you would like to see more of on the blog, youtube and on instagram. Also, if you have time, take a look at some of the older posts. They are all still relevant to mommiehood, fashion and mommie life.
